Most people confine their recommendations when it comes to selecting the top colleges in North Carolina to either one of the multi-campus prestigious institutes; University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill or Duke University, but these are not the only Universities which offer a high quality education along with great academic and athletic opportunities.

These do not rank as the only top colleges in North Carolina. There are many others that have a convention of offering meritorious and top-notch education. They are also reputed to produce sterling worth athletes. Some of these universities are listed below.

Davidson College – when it comes to selecting an institute where you require a high quality education along with a personal relationship with the members of faculty and the student body for purposes of achieving more creative and cumulative effects of novel experiences of acquiring erudition then Davidson College is no doubt the finest choice for it has a small student population (less that 2000). High Point University – Established in 1924 as High Point College the institute offers day and evening undergraduate and degree programs. High Point University is home to 12 Fraternities and Sororities. It is noted for its Georgian Revival theme which provides an air of dignity and erudition to the college. Some of its notable alumni include former NC Senator Lauch Faircloth and the NBA’s Jermaine Wallace.
